moe. to Play Drive-In Concert at Vernon Downs July 31
After hinting at a Vernon Downs Casino Hotel show on social media Wednesday, moe. and Creative Concerts announced Friday a drive-in concert to be held in Vernon on July 31.
The show will take place on the grounds of the casino, hotel and harness racing track located in Central New York. Fanclub presale tickets will be available Monday, July 13 from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. EDT. Public sale will begin Tuesday, July 14 at 10 a.m.
A car pass provides a designated 20′ by 20′ space for a standard passenger vehicle and entry for a maximum of four people per vehicle. The concert can be enjoyed outside your vehicle within the designated boundaries and concessions will be available for delivery by staff in golf carts. Attendees are also welcome to bring their own food and beverages to enjoy on site.
General admission per car ranges between $150 and $260 depending on location in the lot. All ticket sales will be conducted online. For more information, visit moe.’s FAQ here.
Drive-in concerts have become an alternative way for the live music industry to get back on its feet in the COVID-19 era. Buffalo’s Aqueous announced a two-show Father’s Day weekend set of concerts that quickly sold out, prompting them to add a third date at the Transit Drive-In in Lockport.
Vehicles were required to adhere to social distancing guidelines of being parked six feet apart. Attendees were allowed to exit their vehicles as long as they remained near their vehicles and six feet away from other attendees.
moe. released its first studio album in six years This is Not, We Are, its first since 2006’s No Guts, No Glory and 12th overall, on June 26. The album is available to stream or download here. They are also celebrating their 30th year together this year.
The band will be returning to its home region for the first time since its two-date New Year’s run at Utica’s Stanley Theatre in December.
Tickets are available for fan club presale beginning Monday, July 13 from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. EDT. The general public can purchase tickets beginning Tuesday, July 14 at 10 a.m. through Ticketmaster .
