This policy explains what information 315 Music (“we,” “us”) collects through 315music.com, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information you give us
Our Contact form asks for your name, email address and message.
Comments. When you leave a comment, we collect the name, email address and website you enter, your comment, and your IP address and browser details to help detect spam. Your email address is not published. Your comment and name are published with the post. We may check your email address with Gravatar, a WordPress service, to show your profile picture next to your comment.
Newsletter. Our newsletter page signs you up for the NYS Music weekly newsletter. Sign-ups go directly to that newsletter’s Mailchimp list, and you can unsubscribe using the link in any email.
Contact form messages are stored on our website and sent to us by email so we can respond.
Information collected automatically
- Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our website, such as the pages viewed, how you arrived, your device and browser, and your approximate location. Google Analytics uses cookies. See “Cookies and your choices” below for when it runs and how to turn it off.
- Security. Our website’s security software records visitor IP addresses and request details to block attacks and abuse.
- Server logs. Like any website, our hosting provider records basic technical information about each visit, such as your IP address and browser, to operate and secure the site.
Embedded content
Some pages include Spotify playlists and players. These services may set cookies and collect information about your visit when the content loads.
How we use information
- To respond to your messages.
- To publish and moderate comments.
- To understand and improve how our website works.
- To protect our website and our visitors from spam and abuse.
Who we share it with
Information collected through this website is shared only with the service providers that help us run it: our website hosting provider, the service that delivers our website emails, Google (for analytics), Gravatar (for comment profile pictures) and Mailchimp (for newsletter sign-ups). We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
Cookies and your choices
- If you are visiting from California or from outside the United States, we ask for your consent before analytics or other non-essential cookies load. Nothing loads until you choose Accept.
- If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat that as a request not to load analytics unless you accept.
- You can change your choice at any time through Privacy choices. Choosing Decline turns analytics off.
- You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
How long we keep information
We keep information only as long as we need it for the purposes above, or as long as the law requires.
Your rights

Children
Our website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect the information we collect. No website can guarantee complete security, so please do not send us more information than you need to.
