LIVE: The Lumineers At Darien Lake Amphitheater

The Lumineers took their tour to a sold-out Darien Lake Amphitheater on Tuesday, August 22nd. The tour is in support of their fourth album, BRIGHTSIDE, which peaked at No. 6 on the Billboard Hot 200


The Colorado-based folk rock group was formed in 2002 by Wesley Schultz (lead vocals, guitar) and Jeremiah Fraites (drums, percussion). In 2012, the group released their self-titled debut studio album The Lumineers which peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 200. The album’s first single, “Ho Hey” peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 and No. 1 on both the Billboard Alternative Songs chart and the Billboard Rock Songs chart. In 2013, at the 55th GRAMMY Awards, The Lumineers were nominated for Best Americana Album and Best New Artist.


The Lumineers took the stage in front of over 21,000 fans, opening their 23-song set with their 2016 hit song “Cleopatra.” The group continued the night strong, performing their chart-topping song, “Ho Hey” shortly after. The set proceeded with songs new and old from all four of their albums, The Lumineers, Cleopatra, III, and BRIGHTSIDE. The Lumineers closed out their two hour set with the song “Stubborn Love.”
