LIVE: Shania Twain’s SOLD OUT show at the St. Josephs Amphitheater

Shania Twain performed for a sold-out crowd at the St. Joseph’s Health Amphitheater on Saturday night. She brought along with her rising star BRELAND. The country pop star is currently out on the road on her “Queen of Me” tour in support of her most recent release with the same title.

A few things can be said about Shania Twain, her concerts are like one big party, she is an expert at engaging and interacting with her fans, she is in great shape, and her voice has withstood the test of time… she sounds amazing. Shania’s entrance set the party vibe for the rest of the night. Her stage team wheeled a cart flashing LED lights through the crowd including the lawn section where she popped out of the cart while singing “Waking Up Dreaming.” The cart was rolled all over the venue giving fans a chance to see the singer up close. She eventually emerged from beneath the stage donned in a gorgeous orange dress, sparking earrings and bracelets and even shiny platform heels.

The whole evening was non-stop entertainment. Twain serenaded a couple who invited her to their upcoming wedding with an acoustic version of “You’re Still the One” per their request after apologizing for not being able to make it their wedding due to a conflicting concert performance that day. It was clear that the veteran performer knows what she is doing. The perfect mix of songs old and new, upbeat, and slower, fan interactions including bringing fans onstage to sing with her, choreographed dances, a medley of fan favorite songs and even a motorcycle ride made for an incredible show. Shania ended her main set with an outstanding version of “Rock This Country” that had everyone on their feet.

After a short reprieve, the singer took the stage and went into a three-song encore starting with “You Don’t Impress Me Much,” “Party for Two” and culminating with the much anticipated “Man! I Feel Like A Woman!” to end the almost two-hour set. If you missed this show, you have another chance to catch Shania Twain at the Key Bank Center in Buffalo in October.

Daniel Gerard Breland known in the music world as “BRELAND” got the party started. BRELAND brought his mix of country, hip hop, R&B and pop with hits like “Hot Sauce,” “Horseride” and of course fan favorite and Billboard chart topper “My Truck.” BRELAND later returned to the stage to perform their new collaboration “Inhale/Exhale AIR.” Twain described BRELAND as, the future of country music.” The fans certainly seemed to agree as they cheered and screamed for more.
