LIVE: Tyler Rich Rocks His Return to Upstate New York at the L in Horseheads

After nearly a year, Tyler Rich made his return to Upstate New York with a spectacular performance at The L in Horseheads on February 9. Locals Justin Raynor and Crossroads Band warmed up the stage before his set.

One might not expect how a country or any other show experience might be at The L because once you pull in, you realize it is a venue attached to a church. But this is a classic case of not judging a book by its cover because the atmosphere and quality of the rooms are top-notch. There were concert-goers there of all ages and they were all excited to see Tyler Rich play in their hometown.

Once the lights went out, Rich’s band entered the stage with Rich being the last one to join them. He came out with the biggest smile on his face, you could tell he was exactly where he wanted to be. During his 18-song setlist, he consistently engaged with fans. Even stopping to sign the occasional autograph and pose for a selfie.

Rich performed an impressive assortment of songs during his 1.5-hour set. He played hits like “The Difference,” “Feels Like Home” and “Better Than You’re Used To.” He even did a phenomenally fun cover of Paramore’s “Misery Business” that had everyone jumping around reminiscing about the early 2000s.

Rich even gave his fans a full version of his Tik Tok viral hit “I Know You Do.” This is a song he wrote about his and his wife’s pet peeves about each other and is set to be released in early March 2023.

Rich ended his set with his biggest hit “Leave Her Wild.” This got the audience all on their feet, singing at the top of their lungs. It was a great end to an even greater set. But he wasn’t done, he jumped off the stage and immediately greeted every fan who wanted their own selfie or moment with him, making many fans beam with joy before leaving the venue.

You can catch him again on tour starting in March. But until then, keep your eyes peeled for his new music hitting the airwaves and music stores.
