Was it just another 80° summer day in New York or did Lawrence bring the heat?
The New York State Fair spoiled its attendees with a 2 pm show that had attendees in the sun and on their feet. Clyde and Gracie Lawrence, the sibling duo, performed their unique Pop-soul and funk setlist mid-day Saturday at Chevy Park in Syracuse.
The New York City band has an impressive resume; touring with artists such as O.A.R. and Lake Street Dive, as well as performing on talk shows such as Jimmy Kimmel Live and The Late Night Show with Stephen Colbert.
It was pretty clear that Lawrence was not the new kid on the block. The crowd was full of fans that spent the afternoon jamming to their hits, which included their recent USA Shazam Pop Chart hit “Don’t Lose Sight.” Lawrence encouraged the audience to check out their Staycation event in Brooklyn, a three-night show in November with six different opening acts and themed shows. It will be a party — we know it.
