Isaac French Releases New Single ‘Ready to Be Loved’
St. Albans, VT native and current Rome resident, Isaac French is releasing his latest single “Ready to Be Loved” Friday. The track will be available on all streaming platforms and is being distributed through CD Baby.
French, a member of both the Vermont-based roots-rock outfit Nina’s Brew and Central New York Americana band The Old Main, released his solo debut Human Being in 2018, an album that showcases his soulful vocal chops, heavy on pop influence, which is quite the departure from his work in his other projects.

The new single recorded at Studio 150 in Burlington and produced and engineered by French’s friend Christopher Hawthorn, exhibits his pop sensibilities and showcases his tremendous vocal capabilities. One can hear influences that range from Justin Timberlake to John Legend to John Mayer in this piece. “Ready to Be Loved” also features guitar work from Dopapod’s Rob Compa. French is planning to release another single later in the spring.
For now, you can catch French performing with both The Old Main and Nina’s Brew, who also recently released their first full-length album Mixed Tape, available on streaming platforms and through their website.
He has also become a regular on the Central New York circuit, with a winter residency at Woods Valley Ski Area in Westernville and performances at Villa Verona Winery, Woodland Farm Brewery near Utica, Copper City Brewing Company in Rome, Five Points Public House in Utica and the Vine and Fig Restaurant in Rome.
