Avett Brothers Playing Two in Cooperstown to Kick Off Induction Weekend

Grammy-nominated folk-rockers the Avett Brothers have announced a double-header at Brewery Ommegang near Cooperstown to kick off the National Baseball Hall of Fame’s Induction Weekend. The band will also perform at the Chautauqua Institution Amphitheater in Chautauqua on July 22.

The band returns to Ommegang Thursday, July 23 and Friday, July 24. Tickets go on sale to the band’s fan club, The Avett Guild, on Tuesday at noon. General on-sale tickets will be available beginning Friday, Nov. 14 at 10:00 a.m.

The band released its 10th album Closer Than Together in October and is making its first appearance in four years at the Leatherstocking Region brewery.

The band, led by brothers Scott and Seth Avett is currently touring in the midwest and will join Ringo Starr’s All Starr Band for a string of June dates in New England.

Baseball’s Hall of Fame Induction Weekend takes place July 24-27, with the induction ceremony taking place Sunday, July 26.
