Outer Space of Old Forge is a brand new venue but is already has an awesome summer lineup of shows every Thursday through July and August with a revamped version of Saranac Thursdays. The venue also just announced a new taproom for Grow Brewing that opened this week.
We caught up with Tom Greco, who has been working on this vision with great dedication to his community.
315 Music: What was the inspiration to start Outer Space?
Tom Greco: We wanted to bring the same experiences in similar outdoor venues in other beautiful places across the country. The general happiness and connection live music can bring to people from all different wakes of life is something we are striving for in Old Forge
315 Music: Can you tell us what guests should expect?
TG: Space, comfort, safety, wonderful sound surrounded by mountains in the heart of all Old Forge has to offer right on Main Street. Shows will have adult beverages, but also a bunch of choices for our sober patrons and lots of great food.
315 Music: What do you believe is the importance of live music to your community and today’s society?
TG: Connection, social interaction, something to look forward to. Music is more important to me than I can say in words.
315 Music: Besides live music, what else is hosted at Outer Space?
TG: We plan to host events of all kinds. Outer Space is also a day to day food and beverage courtyard serving flatbreads, gourmet grilled cheeses, salads, and deli sandwiches. Now Grow Brewing too. We are thrilled.
You can find tickets here. Some of the shows are free and the venue is offering an early bird special on some shows. Time to head up to the mountains for some beautiful music and community.
