The Huff Brau LLC in Earlville Brings Tasty Live Music and Tasty Eats with Fun Pub Atmosphere
You may have heard of Earlville because of the famous Earlville Opera House, but just across the street, a new venue, staffed by owner Ashley Proskine and her crew is breathing new life into the village with food and two nights of live music each week at Huff Brau LLC.
Proskine took over the downtown Earlville honkytonk, roadhouse-type bar with a new vision and that same old fun on July 1, 2022.
Her goal with the new pub “Is to create a fun, clean, welcoming environment for the community to have great food and entertainment, all while being family-friendly,” she said. Proskine continued “This spring I really want to work on making our alleyway outdoor seating and having a small stage. We do a block party every September but I’d love to have more events. I really love to feature local artists. There’s so much talent in our area.” You can usually find a solo or smaller act every other Wednesday and sometimes a Friday night, with a bigger band in the larger dining room area every other Saturday.”
When asked about why she wanted to bring back more live music, Proskine says, “The love of music brings people together and just simply enhances the atmosphere. Trying to be a spot promoting local musicians, and even sometimes it gets the fantastic people who are slightly shy to come out of their shell.” This is such a valuable statement in an area that produces so much talent, and in this case, gives opportunities to aspiring musicians to play in front of friends and families; honestly what the goal of local music and the community it creates is.
Proskine and her great staff have cleaned up the kitchen and expanded the menu. They have usual specials such as Monday night wing night -The lunch special is pulled pork and mac and cheese. Tuesday they are closed. Wednesday’s special is chicken and biscuits and pork carnitas with pickle salsa. Thursdays they have pasta night which is homemade meatballs for spaghetti dinner or meatball parm sub and chicken riggies. Fridays have a fish fry and a rib-eye steak special.
