LIVE: Morgan Wallen at Darien Lake Amphitheater
On Saturday night, country music star Morgan Wallen continued his The Dangerous Tour at Darien Lake Amphitheater. The Knoxville native first received national attention in 2014 when he became a competitor on the televised singing show The Voice. Wallen joined team Usher after performing the song “Collide” by Howie Day.
Following his elimination from The Voice, Wallen moved to Nashville, where he landed a publishing deal with Big Loud Music, resulting in his debut single, “The Way I Talk.”
On August 14, 2020, Wallen released the song “7 Summers,” which broke the record for the most first-day streams for a country song on Apple Music and debuted at number six on the Billboard Hot 100.
Now, in 2022, Wallen has two albums, If I Know Me and Dangerous: The Double Album, and is a CMA Award winner with nine billion on-demand streams.

Wallen kicked off the night with his second-ever single release, “Up Down.” Wallen would continue the night singing ten more songs on the main stage from his recently released double album Dangerous. Wallen gave a heartfelt piano performance of “Sand in My Boots” before heading back to the lawn for three songs to give those far from the stage a glimpse of the country music star.
Wallen would return to the main stage to close out the night with his most popular hits, including “More Than My Hometown,” “The Way I Talk,” “Heartless,” “Wasted on You,” and “Whiskey Glasses.”
