Utica’s Stanley Theatre and the Community Foundation Create Charitable Fund
The Stanley Theatre and the Community Foundation Of Herkimer and Oneida Counties are announcing the creation of The Stanley Theatre Charitable Fund.
“The entertainment industry was, and still is, being affected by COVID-19. With the opportunity to reopen on the horizon, the time is nearing for The Stanley Theatre to ‘Raise Its Curtain’ like never before. The Stanley Theatre is proud to announce that for the first time in its history, it is formally partnering with The Community Foundation,” said The Stanley Theatre Executive Director, Lisa Wilsey.
Contributions made to the charitable fund will be initially used for the anticipated reopening measures that will be mandated by the state in the coming months. “In addition to The Stanley’s historical and cultural value to the region, its reopening and future success are an important economic driver for Downtown Utica. This fund and those who contribute to it will support a future Stanley—one that will be a community treasure for generations to come,” said Alicia Dicks, president/CEO of the Community Foundation.
