LIVE: Zach Bryan, Trampled by Turtles at MVP Arena
Singer/songwriter Zach Bryan brought the southern heat of his Burn, Burn, Burn tour to the MVP Arena in Albany on Friday. The sold out arena rocked out to award winning music that filled Bryan’s two-hour set. Prior to selling out arenas, Bryan served as a member of the U.S Navy at the age of 17.
In 2017, Bryan began uploading his music to YouTube which led to his song “Heading South” going viral. Bryan made his Grand Ole Opry debut just a couple years after his viral YouTube performance.
Since then, Bryan has built a foundation of loyal fans who have helped his music reach Certified Platinum, Gold, and Silver milestones. However, certifications are not the only things on Bryan’s resume. Earlier this year, Bryan was awarded New Male Artist of the Year by the Academy of Country Music Awards – and after the Albany show, you can see why.
There was a lot of buzz going on in the industry about how Bryan was going to battle for his fans to lower ticket prices, which made it tricky to get a seat in the arena. But we all know, the best things in life never come easy. This didn’t ticketing technique didn’t prevent a sold out show from happening. The crowd erupted with lyrics to every song the band played – resulting in this tweet from Bryan:
Zach Bryan wasn’t the only band to get the crowd moving. Opening act Trampled by Turtles had the fans wanting more before the show even began. The American bluegrass-influenced folk band from Minnesota brought a classic vibe with a modern touch. The group has released ten full albums since 2003, in which three have reached No. 1 on the U.S Billboard bluegrass chart. The award winning group has kept bluegrass alive in Albany NY.
