Bandcamp Fridays Continue to Support Independent Musicians Through the End of the Year

Since March, the music hosting site Bandcamp has been supporting working musicians by donating all proceeds every first Friday of the month. “Bandcamp Friday” allows one to peruse a diverse selection of music and give directly to the artists that have been hard hit during COVID-19.

It’s a good reminder that Bandcamp Fridays are really an extension of what Bandcamp is about every day. Thank you to all the artists and labels who shared their music with us, and the fans who spent their hard-earned coins to support the artists they love.

Many local musicians in the 315 use this service as well, so be sure support local bands such as Harmonic Dirt, J. Schnitt, Rabbit In The Rye, Doom Boys, Lauren Mettler, The Action!, Our Common Roots, Late Earth, Lucky33, Maybe Sunday, Underwater Bosses and so many more. Just type your favorite local band’s name in the search bar and spend away. All proceeds go directly to the musicians on Bandcamp Fridays.

Since Bandcamp Friday began in March, over $20 million has been paid directly to bands, artists and labels. Overall sales on Bandcamp have increased tremendously since the start of this campaign, leading to over $75 million in sales.

The remaining calendar for 2020 Bandcamp Fridays is:

Sept. 4
Oct. 2
Nov. 6
Dec. 4
