Independent music platform Bandcamp began Bandcamp Friday<\/a> in March to help independent musicians impacted by the pandemic. On the first Friday of each month, the service waives all artist fees on music and merchandise sold through their site. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since the first Bandcamp Friday in March, over $75 million in music and merchandise has been sold, money that goes directly to the artists. Overall, more than half a billion dollars has been spent on Bandcamp. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
