Wednesday night in Syracuse was certainly brightened as hometown musician, Ian Cattell and his bandmates from Brit Floyd took to the stage at the Oncenter’s Crouse Hinds Theater. Celebrating Pink Floyd’s 50-year anniversary of The Darkside of the Moon<\/em>, the band highlighted key music from the album and celebrated everything fans love about Pink Floyd’s timeless tunes. Songs written with political undertones are still relevant in today’s turmoil of political division, again reaffirming their timeless quality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pink Floyd has always been known for their light show and a band like Brit Floyd, who strives to give a complete Pink Floyd experience at their shows, keeps that tradition alive. The production incorporates lasers, state-of-the-art lighting, video reels, and a disco ball, stepping up the production to a higher level. It is obvious that there have been many hours spent orchestrating this show.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Every musician on stage was extremely talented and versatile. They are the best of the best and it showed. The attention to detail given to each song was impressive. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The evening’s attendees were treated to a wonderful performance. If you are a Pink Floyd fan and are missing what their live experience was like, you should take in a Brit Floyd show. It’s the next best thing. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
